Chris Rasman

Chris was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, where from a young age he developed a passion for the outdoors, and activities like soccer, surfing, and skateboarding. It was at age 12 that he was first introduced to snowboarding. Learning how to ride the mountains from his father, and his two uncles, he was forced to become a very fast and powerful free rider, using resorts like Cypress, and Grouse Mountain as his playground. After finishing high school in 2006, Chris made the move up to Whistler, BC, and began working on his freestyle skills. By the following winter, he had picked up a few sponsors and started to casually film for companies like Gnarcore Videoplay, Sandbox Films, and Alterna Action films. In the fall of 2008, Carlo Wein from Alterna Films, scooped up Chris to be part of his crew officially. Since then, Chris has been traveling the world with Alterna, filming video parts, and stacking publishing’s in magazines like Snowboard Canada, King Snow, Playboard, and Snowboarder.
